7 DAYS.....................OF SNAKESKIN

This week I'm doing something new here on the blog.    It's the beginning of the new fall season and I've been focusing a lot on fashion because I have purged my closet of pre and post baby clothes and I'm in need of some new digs.

H&M has such amazing clothes that are right in with the trends and sometimes just those fabulous pieces just you might like.   I've seen the commercial a million times over and I had to go and get this snakeskin faux wrap dress.   Can I just say, it was $14.95!  Are you kidding me, who can pass that up?   And because I'm such a thrifty mama (My mother is the queen of sale/clearance thrifty coupon shopping) I showed them my smartphone which displayed my email from H&M offering me 20% off!   Oh yea baby!!!!

I'm a huge fan of wrap dresses, what can I say I'm a 70's baby.   Diane von Furstenberg is the iconic wrap dress queen.   I;m also a lover of animal prints (most of you know this by my leopard sofa) lol   But I think animal prints in fashion are so versatile and fun.  I have a lot of accessories but not much in actual clothing, so this is my starting point.

As the mother of 5, running a household of 7 .......shopping sprees are not in my vocabulary any more.   So I want to focus on classic key pieces and then see how many ways I can wear the one item.    

For the next 7 days I will wear this same snakeskin dress from H&M and I will make it work friendly, dress it up and wear it casually.   

I'm thinking I might make this a monthly challenge and turn it into a linky.   If I can figure out how to do it I will add it to the last post of the week!

WIWWW - What I Wanna Wear Wednesday

So I will admit that I watch some reality shows and one that I'm a longtime fan of is Keeping Up With The Kardashians.  I relate to the fact that mom Kris had 4 children when she met her husband Bruce and that they then had 2 girls of their own.  Pretty close to my life....including all the girls and 1 boy tally.

P.S.  I'm also a huge fan of Khloe & Lamar...even my husband watches it.   It just reminds us a little of us, not as fabulously wealthy but just as fabulously fun and in love.

I admire the ambition as a family to create a brand for themselves and their careers.  I also appreciate that they market products the general public can actually afford.   I know they can wear Gucci & Louboutin's on a daily basis but the fact that they don't expect us to do it is what I like best.

The 3 Kardashian girls (Kourtney, Kim & Khloe) have launched a new line titled Kardashian Kollection which is being sold at Sears.   They show us all aspects, the socialite, the happy newlywed, and the gorgeous little mama.   I had a chance this weekend to check out the pieces at my local mall.

This is how they have their section of Sears merchandised.  I'm not sure if I like the red roses & rug with the collection.   That might just be the former retail visual merchandiser in me but it doesn't really compliment the collection.

MANIC MONDAY.........I'M SEEING SPOTS!

So excited that the fall season is coming in quickly here in NJ.   Temps have cooled and I can't wait to pull out my sweaters, jackets and boots!  

I'm especially looking forward to the popular color palette of fall this year.  Black, Camel & Leopard are really big and I can never get enough of any of them.

I'm seeing spots everywhere and here are some of my favorites :




These are just very sexy and elegant and would be fabulous with a classic black sheath dress.

WIWW- What I Wore Wednesday

I always say better late than never.   Today was a busy day, trying to get kids doctor appointments out of the way before we leave for vacation this weekend.

Here is something I threw together to run my oldest to the ENT doctor today.

THE EASTER BUNNY CAME EARLY THIS YEAR!

We actually had 2 good (by that I mean at least 65 degree) days here in New Jersey this week.   Big Daddy J   brought the kids a "surprise".  HAAAAAA I was the one surprised when my 10 yr old and 4 yr old walked in with a big puff of ginger colored fur.

Let's just say The Easter Bunny Came Early This year and will be staying for a while! lol    Yep he got them a bunny, no conversation with me but look at her face (what can I do now).   I even think the little fuzz ball is cute, we had a grey/white bunny a few years ago and it died.   SOOOOOOO  Im just a little nervous!

Anywhoooo they named in Cinnamon and it is attached to her shoulder at all times unless she is in school or in bed. lol       She has been dying to wear warm weather clothes to school, but its still been in the 50's.   Today was the perfect day for a little photo shoot with Adelina........and Cinnamon!   I'm sure Haddad Brands will love the new bunny ambassador. lol

We have 2 pairs of these pants and I love them, they wear so well and I'm a little freaky about wrinkled clothes.   These are awesome, the material is as it is...they don't get all yucky.  I know I sound crazy but I cant have my children going to school looking a hot mess.    We will definately be getting a lot of use from these this Spring and then we will save them for Maya J who is 4 but already wearing a size 5/6. lol
