DAY 8............CROWN OF BOWS

I WANT TO INTRODUCE YOU TO.....SUZE OF CROWN OF BOWS (a.k.a.) TIME WELL SPENT

Suze and I met during the Circle of Moms TOP 25 contest, I love her accessories and we were completely supportive of one another.   We also had a connection through having bi-racial children (can I just tell you how adorable her son and daughter)  Her daughter models a lot of her accessory and is also a great subject for her photography work.

HERE IS WHAT SUZE SAYS ABOUT HERSELF ON HER BLOG:

My name is Suze, and I am originally from Haiti.  In an interesting turn of events, I found myself living in the Mountain West of the United States.  Being in a different environment took a little time for adapting, but I'm loving it here.   I have two beautiful children who keep me busy most of the time and married to the most amazing man(November 2006 in the LDS Denver Temple).  Actually, let me tell you when I started making bows. It all began when our family had a bit of a shock! Our second child was supposed to be another boy, but lo and behold, the doctor pulled out a girl!   From that moment I have enjoyed the process of raising a little princess. In anticipation of when she would have a head of hair... (She is getting there)... I started to make hair bows. They started building up and I found I was developing some pretty creative work (at least my husband says so)!   

I also do photography and I love catching those wonderful moment on camera .

DAY 5.................SMITTEN BY A PROMISE

Well let's see where this story begins, I know we met on Facebook and I believe it was during the Circle of Moms Top 25 Mom Blogs Contest.....which we both landed into. (hehe)

We supported each other and a few of our blog friends and kept messaging and voting and helping the others, so it just because 2nd nature to talk and message every day on Facebook.   The more it happened the more we found out about one another.

She is now Kels to me and here is what I know about her.  She is a happily married woman and mama to 2 gorgeous boys.   She lives in NM and she is a crazy creative soul.    She stands my her faith and that is a thing I love about her, however one that I don't know if I can get over......   Kels and her hubs Jon are big NY Giants fans!   Now Kels and I had already discovered the fact that our husbands both played college football, we also knew that we weren't football widows....We actually like watching football.     Now Im a Jersey girl and I HATE the Giants so the fact that my new bloggy bff is an East Coast Giants fan disturbs me.   Hopefully I can shake her out of it before this lock out ends.

DAY 3.....41 WEST DESIGNS

I WANT TO INTRODUCE YOU TO......BRITTANY from 41 WEST DESIGNS (a.k.a) House of Sorensens blog


Britt and I met a few months back when we were voted into the TOP 25 Mom Shops...we were part of a little support group and began exchanges messages and such on our blogs and facebook pages.   She's a mom, blogger and fellow Etsian.

Im a huge love of typography and just letter/number art in general.  So she quickly became one of my favorite typography artists.   Her shop is great and wanted to share with you how she describes herself and how 41 West Designs began (this is from her Etsy bio)


I am the mom to one gorgeous blue-eyed little boy named Jack. I'm the wife to a law student, a sister to three brothers, and daughter to two amazing parents. I love all things vintage and distressed. I love cutting my own wood and distressing each item by hand (- you see, I love power tools just as much as I love purses).

My grandma and grandpa used to run an antique shop in their home in southern Utah. The address was 41 West 100 South. I used to visit them when I was younger and spend 2-3 weeks each summer spending time with them and learning the history of each piece in their shop and home. As I grew up, I developed a love for antiques because of the stories behind each one, and I began to appreciate the value of old things. I started my own antique collection a few years ago, and I love the story behind each purchase I have made, as well as bringing a piece of history into my home.

About a year ago, I began painting signs to give as gifts to my family and friends. I had such a great time doing it, that I started making more and more. My husband suggested that I turn it into a business. While deciding on a name, I knew that 41 West Designs was the perfect fit - my grandparents house and antique shop is my inspiration behind the distressed wood boards (and canvas) I have created for my Etsy shop. While each sign may not be an original antique or vintage sign, they certainly remind me of an old family heirloom passed down through 
generations.
