DAY 3 OF THE 7 DAY DRESS CHALLENGE......2 FOR 1

Again quick reminder of the piece I am using for this challenge.  1 dress and I will be posting 7 days of options for this dress.

Today's post is sort - of - a 2 for 1...............see below!

Since it's hump day I thought I would make this a 2 for 1 deal.    So the 1st look would be your daytime look, and then a quick addition and adjustment brings you to a night time look.

This is my running errands daytime look....simple accessories w/ the dress change the look and feel.

Black leggings ( I think the sheen adds a little bling)

Very long and bulky scarf doubled around the neck.

70's styles glasses

Big black bag (what's in the bag)

An extra pair of shoes....actually platform booties

This is the 2nd look, could be a transition from daytime to drinks for happy hour or dinner with the girlfriends!

Adding the booties and wearing the scarf as a shawl

I like the solid black leg & bootie

These boots are so comfortable and are my fav purchase from earlier this year

So cute, so versatile

You can also streamline the scarf too and show more dress

Okay, I think Im done with the pictures ( you have no idea how much I hate to be IN FRONT of the camera)

Dress:  H&M
Scarf:  Five Below
Handbag: H&M (years ago)
Leggings : Rainbow
Shoes: Mossimo for Target
Booties: Bamboo from MakeMeChic.com

DAY 2 OF THE 7 DAY CHALLENGE..

DAY 2........

For those of you who missed the previous post HERE, this is the dress that I am using for this challenge.  It's and H&M dress and you can find the info HERE.

Bare in mind I'm not feeling well nor am I a Supermodel by any stretch of the word.  Just a mother of 5, trying to get the most for my money and put together a new wardrobe on a tight budget.

Here I layered a swing jacket over the dress....perfect for a day at the office.  Then take the jacket off, let your hair down and those boots will take you dancing.

I love the length of the dress with these ankle boots...

They are pointy and fabulous

Entire 4 pc outfit.

I like the pic with out my head/face in it! LOL

My "serious secretary" look....lol

How you doin?

Dress: H&M
Jacket: Easy Pickins
Booties: Bakers
Bag: D&G
Glasses: Hush Puppies (Rx)

7 DAYS.....................OF SNAKESKIN

This week I'm doing something new here on the blog.    It's the beginning of the new fall season and I've been focusing a lot on fashion because I have purged my closet of pre and post baby clothes and I'm in need of some new digs.

H&M has such amazing clothes that are right in with the trends and sometimes just those fabulous pieces just you might like.   I've seen the commercial a million times over and I had to go and get this snakeskin faux wrap dress.   Can I just say, it was $14.95!  Are you kidding me, who can pass that up?   And because I'm such a thrifty mama (My mother is the queen of sale/clearance thrifty coupon shopping) I showed them my smartphone which displayed my email from H&M offering me 20% off!   Oh yea baby!!!!

I'm a huge fan of wrap dresses, what can I say I'm a 70's baby.   Diane von Furstenberg is the iconic wrap dress queen.   I;m also a lover of animal prints (most of you know this by my leopard sofa) lol   But I think animal prints in fashion are so versatile and fun.  I have a lot of accessories but not much in actual clothing, so this is my starting point.

As the mother of 5, running a household of 7 .......shopping sprees are not in my vocabulary any more.   So I want to focus on classic key pieces and then see how many ways I can wear the one item.

For the next 7 days I will wear this same snakeskin dress from H&M and I will make it work friendly, dress it up and wear it casually.

I'm thinking I might make this a monthly challenge and turn it into a linky.   If I can figure out how to do it I will add it to the last post of the week!

I also have a special surprise giveaway at the end of this challenge!  Hope you will check in and comment everyday to see what skin I'm in next.

Here is the dress with a simple metallic elastic sash and black platform heels.

(I haven't been feeling well all week, so please excuse the not so happy face...I love my dress just not a good day for pictures)  LOL
