MY BUGGY AND ME....

Time is a crazy thing....sometimes you feel like the day can't end soon enough and then there are days like today when you wonder where the time went.

2 years ago we were blessed with a gift...

My little babygirl Kemorah Sky (a.k.a Buggy/ a.k.a Baby Taz) turns 2 today....I can't even believe it!  She has grown so much from that 9 lb. 11 oz baby I was literally dying to hold in my arms.  No seriously don't believe what they say about the more you have the easier childbirth (SUCH A LIE....lol)

BREAKING NEWS......

Well it's been leaked here and there and I have given my secret up to a select few already but I am now announcing to you all!

WE ARE EXPECTING BABY #6!

I use to be that girl that was like "I have to wait to tell" either way what will be will be...so if something happens along the way you will hear about that too.  But I have put my trust in God.

It is still very early, I am only 6 weeks but this is what my belly looked like at just about 6 months. I know scary isn't it.  We make big babies......no really the last 2 were ounces shy of 10lbs.

The 1st ultrasound went well and the heartbeat was present.  However also present was a blood clot, so I am  a little nervous about that since Ive never experienced this with any of my other pregnancies.   I go back for a follow up in 2 weeks.   I have faith that all will work out as it should.  It is in God's hands... as well as my fabulous OB/GYN , we have a female doctor this time!  Woohoo Dr. S!

God is good, and I trust in the path that he leads me along.    I am nervous, scared and excited all at once.  They say God never gives us more than we can handle, and so far I have taken it all on and come through stronger.

The sweet side to this story is that my dad's passing and the blessing of this baby coincide.   I read once that when someone passes that a child then takes their soul.  It would be a blessing for this baby to have a little part of my dad.

As most of you already know, Im the mama of 5 children.   4 girls and 1 boy......Gabriella 17, Alexander 13, Adelina 11, Samayah 5, Kemorah 23 months.

So in addition to maintaining my household, caring for my 5 children and husband as well.   I am due to open my very own physical home interiors shop in March!  I have less than 30 days to get my furniture painted and my pieces organized and then the store set up in 7 days....Yea I guess I like a full plate!

This is going to be BIG year for me......literally!

WIWW- What I Wore Wednesday

Today was a fun filled day at Chuck E. Cheese with the my kids and niece who has been visiting for the past 2 weeks and doesn't want to go home.

I took alot of pics so I thought I would do a What I Wore Wednesday post this week.    Now keep in mind that this was my 16 month old daughters 1st trip there so I had my active gear on. lol

It was hot in Jersey today and a bit humid too....that's my daughter in the storm door reflection taking this pic

This is how my day ended at around 7:30....Good Humor man to the rescue.   That is a huge Chocolate Chip Cookie ice cream sandwich i'm munchin on.

My niece is all smiles...she has had a blast here visiting us.

MAMA'S GOT A NEW LOOK....

Well the end of June marked a time of Change for me!    This is how you have pretty much seen me since I started blogging...(well without the blue streaks because those were recent) lol

However Ive had the dark hair for a long time and decided I didnt want the dark raven hair anymore.  I wanted golden locks (well my locks were cut 6 yrs ago so maybe just the golden part) till I can grow back the locks.

This was the hot mess I walked in with the day of my hair makeover.

Yes that is another tattoo...it's of my husband's USMC dog tags. 

Here is an overview of the freakin fabulous job she did at getting all the black out and lightening me up as best she could in one shot.

This is me posing at home in the sun (it was about 98 degrees outside) you see that glow...yes I was happy but that was the sun baking me. 

A final shot of me and my new look.  Check out the fabulous Moroccan Oil bag I got from my salon.   This is going to be my summer weekend bag.  I can put away my leopard DVF for the summer!

I love my stylist so much, that I waited to have her give Kemorah her 1st cut...breaking all tradition of going to the kiddie salon. 

Kemorahs has soft but the curliest little ringlets you've even seen.   She's like a mixed Annie! lol   But all the curls were cut and shaped so now she kinda looks like a boy. :)  But the dead baby hair is gone and it will grow out gorgeous now.  Next milestone, earring piercing FAST!

MEET MAMA

Many of you know my name (Melanie) and some of you just know Lucky 7 Design....well I want to invite you to another side of my life.    My family life....although L7D is a lifestyle blog it focuses more on my home and entertaining.  I love decorating and design but Im also a mother of 5 children and that is my primary purpose and what I spend most of my time doing.
