PACKAGES & PRESENTS FOR ME???????????

This week was fairly rough on me physically.   Without whining Im having some health issues and have been running to doctor appointment and all that fun stuff.    I was in bed 2 days this week ( I know....completely unheard of for me)


But I was so pleasantly surprised all week by packages in the mail.  Now some were supplies that I ordered (its still a happy surprise for me).   Other packages were sweat surprises from my friends in blogland...now we always say bloggy bff but there ladies and really friends.   Even though we have never met, we talk online...comment on each other blogs, support each other in our Etsy shops and Im so grateful to have them as a support system.


Hey the fact that are just such freakin talented ladies is purely coincidental!   I roll with talented chicks what can I say!  Im not going to name all of my girls in the crew but theyre on my blog sidebar and they all know who they are!


Now Im gonna show some pics of my presents that I couldnt resist taking pictures of when I got them!

Look at the beautiful packaging from 58 & Grace...it would make the sickest person smile!

My vintage Scrabble pieces...she adhered them to an awesome Bingo card!  I have to order more for projects because I can touch this its two perfect....gonna take it out of the plastic and frame it! No......I really am....stay tuned for that coming up on the blog soon!

Here is the necklace I immediately made from the vintage game pieces I ordered from 58 & Grace. (yes sick and all...got up and ran to my table and put it together) BAM!

These babies came from Flutterby Kisses...I told her once that that fabulous butterfly charm reminded me of my logo with the script text background!

How freaking awesome is this, I love this and will now need to order many more!  How cute is my logo looking in there! 

This little vintage looking beauty is new from I Heart Rock n Roll   It reminds me of  old typewriter keys.  She made this for me along with these adorable earrings (photo not available here but definitely in her shop)

This actually was the first to arrive last week from Smitten By A Promise...I love this bracelet.  She asked my favorite colors and I told her to surprise me.....well she did a fabulous job I love it.   The beads are pearly white with speckles of gold.

I love all my bffs!   With or without their fabulous gifts, because they give me the most important thing......SUPPORT!   I try my best to support everyone, I don't think there is a need for jealousy or drama!

Well Im glad that the days in my sick bed were brightened by beautiful packages and warm comments ( you know I had my phone and was checking in on Facebook!

DAY 14................SHENANAGAINS

I WANT TO INTRODUCE YOU TO...LEIGHANN OF SHENANAGAINS (a.k.a) A CRAFTY SOUTHERN CHICK

Pretend I have a South Carolina accent for this one....hehehehe)


Y'all know that LP, was my 1st bloggy bff.   I won a giveaway for one of her magazine bowls and gosh months later we were talkin all the time)   She would here about my process of launching the my jewelry on Etsy in '11. lol  Geesh she still had a bun in the oven when we met..I was the who had the new baby. lol   Times have changed, she is a new mama and still as crafty as ever.  I think she needs to be A CRAFTY SOUTHERN MAMA( is that taken????)


Wow she is just super creative and we have a mutual love of junk, and creating beauty from junk.   She is amazing with textiles and she even made a necklace and named it after ME!  Yep!  If y'all don't buy it I will, but that would be a little awkward! lol  So buy it!


Her blog is awesome and filled with awesome projects like the stacked wood floor lamp she made (along with her hubs help)for Baby C's nursery.  Not that she couldn't do it but she was like 9 months pregnant y'all.  She is not afraid of power tools!


Her shop is filled with amazing trash to treasure creations and just amazing treasures.  She recently launched a wreath line in her shop and they've been highly requested.   She made one for her door and it matched my porch theme and we later found out we had the same talavera birdbath (we just have way to many things in common) so that is why she is my bloggy bff and because she is freakin adorable and talented!  My red/white/blue/turquoise wreath hangs proudly on my door! 


When I finally move to SC, her and I will be collaborating on something, heck let that little boy get a bit older and we can do tag team effort between NJ to SC!

TREASURES, LUNCH & A BLOGIVERSARY PARTY!

This Sunday I went with my friend (a.k.a. living room makeover girl) Liza to research a street/craft fair in a neighboring town.  Well to our disappointment it was not crafty at all but it was in the street ....and a whole lot of information booths for dance schools, and window/door people offering estimations ( I kid you not, the rep actually yelled out FREE ESTIMATIONS and then caught her self and corrected it. But it was just a sign that things were not as they were advertised.


Booooooooooooooooooooooooooo!  


What happened to good ol' street fairs where people sell there crafts.   Even our flea markets are bad, everyone is selling new stuff, well knock offs (which I dont mind in purses)  North Face, Juicy Couture & Sean John.  No junk, no knick knacks, silverware, linens....it's like an outside mall. AHHHHHHHHHHHH Im in city hell!  Someone give me a pair of cool kick ass cowboy boots and a pretty sundress and let me go down South already!!

They did have food stands however the pricing was ridiculous.  $8-$10 for a sandwich, that I have to eat standing up while holding a drink. Ummmmmmmmmm we thought not, so we decided to go and have a girls sit down lunch instead.  And we did...we ate, we loved, we prayed....well I prayed that I could put all the good ideas we were discussing into a selling venue soon.   (Pssssssssssst news on that coming soon)

Okay so besides the highlight of the day LUNCH, we also hit a good score.    On the way to the fair she says  I drove passed this house w/ Dave (her hubs) and I saw this table and some stuff"  She said he just kinda looked at her so she says "Okay I'll just come back with Melanie" lol    AND YOU KNOW SHE DID.

Here is what I got at the house she drove by....priceless!

Iron Christmas stand (weighs at least 30 lbs.)

Ironwork piece ( I think its for your hose, but not sure)lol

Wood for some new items being creating for clients and my Etsy shop

Singer sewing machine & the most awesome coffee table on the planet (real wood & iron)

I have bumped this table to my top priority project list because Ive had an idea for awhile but will now do it on the table rather than what I originally planned.

TODAY IS MY 1 YEAR BLOGGING ANNIVERSARY.
